Get real emissions data from your supplier, not defaults
The single biggest CBAM cost driver of 2026 is not the carbon price — it is filling in default values because the supplier never sent actual data. Defaults under Regulation (EU) 2023/956 are deliberately conservative: using them can cost multiples of the real figure. This page gives you the two instruments to change that: a request e-mail in your supplier's language, and the exact field list to put in it. Copy, send, collect.
Free, no account, nothing to install. The e-mails name the regulation and the consequence; suppliers respond to cost and to regulation, not to polite requests.

When the data arrives
Turn it into a cost figure
Put the actual values next to the defaults in the
CBAM calculator and guide and see the difference per tonne and per shipment. If the gap is large, that number belongs in your next price negotiation — and in your supplier's next sales pitch, which is exactly the argument in the e-mail above. For anything beyond the arithmetic,
ask us.
